15 VartaFlow Shopify App

This section describes how VartaFlow ("VartaFlow", "we") collects, uses and shares information when a merchant installs the VartaFlow app on a Shopify store.

a) Information We Collect

When you install the app, Shopify gives us access to the following store data:

• Store information: store name, domain, email and currency.
• Order information: order number, items, prices, discounts, payment method, order status page link, cancellation reason, and fulfilment and tracking details.
• Customer information from orders and checkouts: name, phone number, email address and shipping/billing address.
• Checkout information for abandoned checkouts: items, totals and the checkout recovery link.

We do not access or store any payment card details.

b) How We Use It

We use this information only to provide the app's features for the merchant:

• Sending WhatsApp messages the merchant has turned on (order confirmations, Cash on Delivery confirmation, abandoned checkout reminders, shipping, delivery and cancellation updates)
• Tagging Shopify orders when a customer confirms or cancels a Cash on Delivery order
• Showing message and recovery statistics to the merchant
• Adding customers as contacts in the merchant's VartaFlow workspace so the merchant can reply to them

c) Sharing

• Meta (WhatsApp Business API): The customer's phone number and message content are sent to Meta to deliver WhatsApp messages from the merchant's WhatsApp Business number.
• Service Providers: Hosting and database providers that run VartaFlow, under confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell personal information.

d) Retention

• Abandoned checkout records are deleted automatically after 60 days.
• Order records used for shipping and COD messages are deleted automatically after 120 days.
• When the app is uninstalled, Shopify sends a request to erase store data 48 hours later, and we delete the store's Shopify data at that point.
• Contacts and conversations in the merchant's VartaFlow workspace are kept until the merchant deletes them or closes their account.

e) Your Rights

• Merchants can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data at support@vartaflow.com.
• Customers of a store should contact the store; we act on deletion and data requests that Shopify forwards to us on the merchant's behalf.
